How to Submit
If you're interested in submitting to ZombZine, we would love to hear from you! We are currently looking for submissions to our very first issue.
We publish articles, reviews, artwork and creative writing related to zombies. If you have something that you want to submit that doesn't quite fit into those catagories, we would still love to see it it- just submit to the closest catagory and add a note to your email!
Please check out the submission guidelines below for more information.
Submission Guidelines
Submissions for our second issue are open now, and close on Wednesday 15th October 2025 at 11:59pm BST. The second issue will be launched in time for Halloween.

ZombZine is a quarterly print zine all about zombies. We print articles, reviews, creative writing and artwork. If you have something that you think is a good fit for our zine but doesn't quite fit one of those categories, please just submit to the closest fit and add a note to your submission email. For the second issue we would love to see more articles/ reviews/ opinion pieces.

There's no theme beyond zombies, but some issue's title will be a play on a popular zombie IP and we will aim to print at least one submission relating to that. The second issue will be a Halloween special.

The below guidelines are very much just guidelines. Please try to follow them as closely as possible, but we won't reject work based on small mistakes or the wordcount being slightly off.

-
ZombZine is based in the UK, but we are happy to accept worldwide submissions. Due to sales from the previous issue, we are now able to guarantee that international contributors will receive a free print copy.
-
Recommended wordcounts: Articles and fiction can be up to 1,000 words. Reviews up to 500 words. Poetry up to 40 lines. You can submit to more than one category.
-
Simultaneous submissions are fine, please email us to withdraw your work if it is accepted somewhere else.
-
Submissions can be made to zombzine@gmail.com
-
Please send your submission as an email attachment, preferably as a Word, Google docs or Pages document. In the body of your email please include a short bio of no more than 90 words.
-
Please try to follow the submission guidelines to the best of your ability; however, we want to be as accessible as possible and we will not reject submissions for not following the guidelines to the letter. If you’re unsure of anything, please email us at zombzine@gmail.com
-
In the body of your email, please tell us the title of each piece you are submitting, your name and your bio. Please don't stress about what you write in your email, we will not judge submissions based on this. I know this can be something people worry about, so I've included a (100% optional!) template at the bottom of this page in case it makes submitting easier for you.

We aim to respond to all submissions by October 20th. There will be a quick turnaround on this issue to ensure it is available in time for Halloween.
Unfortunately we cannot pay for your submissions at this time, but we hope to change this soon. All contributors will be posted a free copy of the zine. We are currently personally funding the printing, postage and website hosting, but hope zine sales and additional merchandise will fund future runs and payment for contributors. We will make no profit from this endeavour, it is all about our love of zombies!

If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with us via email, Threads or Instagram and we will aim to get back to you as soon as possible!
